Kitchen Assistant
The Maltings Care Home is seeking a reliable, caring Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team. You’ll support the delivery of high-quality meals and refreshments, ensuring residents receive nutritious, appetising food tailored to their needs. This is a rewarding role where your work directly contributes to residents’ wellbeing and daily enjoyment.

What You’ll Do

You’ll assist with the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring all food is handled safely and presented to a high standard. Daily duties include maintaining cleanliness across the kitchen, washing utensils and equipment, supporting stock rotation, and adhering to food hygiene regulations. You’ll also play a role in creating a positive dining experience, being mindful of residents’ individual preferences and dietary needs.

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential – full training is provided
