The Maltings care home is seeking a reliable, caring Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team. You’ll play an important role in supporting the preparation of nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment – helping to create a warm, homely setting where residents can enjoy mealtimes with dignity and comfort.

• Location: The Maltings, Peterborough
• Hours: Bank
• Pay: £13.45 per hour

What You’ll Do

You’ll assist with the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring all food is handled safely and presented to a high standard. Daily duties include maintaining cleanliness across the kitchen, washing utensils and equipment, supporting stock rotation, and adhering to food hygiene regulations. You’ll also play a role in creating a positive dining experience, being mindful of residents’ individual preferences and dietary needs.

• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential – full training is provided
